What is life but a journey by suddenly surprised travelers, whose entry into this sojourn was involuntary. We attempt to select our own path, but forces overpower us, sending our trek in unintended directions. And somewhere along our route, almost anybody can punch our ticket, ending our journey. Life is tenuous and once cut off, nonexistence enshrouds us. That is why hope for mercy has a welcome place in so many hearts.
